In response to recent queries about assessment matters, here is the information everyone needs:

There is a link for students to request a Short Extension of 14 days on all written work as long as the Module Leader hasn’t already moved back the submission date. For BAPP and MAPP, the original hand-in dates haven’t been changed so the students are all eligible for the Short Extension.

 

In order to meet the time requirements for the June Assessment Boards (1st/2nd marking, moderation, External Examiner), work must be submitted by May 14th. Any work received after May 14th will be considered at the next Assessment Board in early September.

 

The guidance for Extenuating Circumstances beyond the 14-day Short Extension is slightly different and this may be what has caused confusion around dates. The deadline for submitting Extenuating Circumstances is May 21st , with work submitted in July/August for the September board.

 

Are you able to pass this on to the cohort via your channels?  I am not sure it will be seen via the blog given the latest conversation on that.  Let me know if I need to also send another email via Mdx.

    Thank you Angela for all your support and guidance throughout this module. As you know, I have had a rather bumpy road the past few weeks, but I think I'm finally reaching the peak of the mountain and starting to enjoy the view!
    I'm hoping everyone is feeling like they are on the right path and heading in the right direction ready to submit. I'm still making final tweaks, but hoping to submit my Module 1 essay in the next day or so. A final blog on where I'm at and how I'm feeling today...

Hello to everyone as part of the MAPP and community. I am pleased to be joining you all this year.  I am Angela Woodhouse, Senior Lecturer in Dance (Choreography) at Middlesex University. I am also a choreographer with a particular interest in collaborative practice, and make work across, theatre, gallery and site contexts. Most recently I have been touring a work called (Un)touched in collaboration with artist Nathaniel Rackowe and have created a digital work using thermal imaging cameras called Thermal Duets in collaboration with artist and long term collaborator Caroline Broadhead.
